  • Web Production Assistant

    Chaparral Motorsports seeks a Web Production Assistant with a strong direct to consumer orientation. Assistant will work with department to maintain website product mix and design aesthetics.

    This is an entry level position.

    Requirements: Ideal candidate will have professional web design and development experience, although candidates with a strong academic background and/or portfolio without professional web experience will be considered; be detail-oriented with solid web design fundamentals-essential for site maintenance and improvement projects. A degree in Graphic Design/Computer Science (or Web Design) or web-page construction and specific experience with creating web specific graphics for an e-commerce site is a plus.

    In addition to HTML and HTML editing and layout programs (i.e., Dreamweaver), the candidate needs to be fluent in PhotoShop, with a working knowledge of JavaScript. Programming/Macro skill (Perl/PHP/VBScript) a plus. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the principles of design, with specific proficiency in color correction, scanning, photo enhancing & retouching, and other graphic production techniques for print and Web. Understand image formats (EPS, TIF, GIF, JPEG, PDF) graphic compression tools and their use. Experience with E-Commerce a plus. Must be resourceful, a quick-learner, and like to work with a variety of projects, likes technologies, and communicates well; able to design on the fly in a production environment, work independently and able to work in a team environment and across multiple projects.

    Parts Counter Associate

    Job Purpose:
    Sells parts by taking and clarifying customer orders; retrieving and selling new and replacement parts; receiving and recording new parts inventory; maintaining parts databases; maintaining safe and secure environment.

    Duties:

  • Takes customer orders by listening to and clarifying requests; identifying parts; offering and explaining alternative solutions.
  • Completes sales by entering purchased items into sales/inventory system; obtaining payment; adding purchase to credit account; issuing sales receipts.
  • Stocks items by unpacking, arranging, and placing items in bins and on shelves; adjusting inventory system.
  • Receives returned items by inspecting items; returning payment; issuing credit; re-packing and re-shelving items; returning damaged items to supplier.
  • Maintains safe and secure environment by following safety and security standards and procedures; complying with codes.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading about new products.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

    Warehouse Packer

    Job Purpose:
    Prepares products for delivery to customer by packing product in cartons; labeling cartons.

    Duties:

  • Sets-up station by receiving packing order; gathering packing materials; notifying material handlers for required materials.
  • Approves products for shipment by inspecting product visually for deficiencies.
  • Inspects packages to ensure the proper products are being released
  • Packs cartons by folding carton; following prescribed arrangement; placing product in carton.
  • Finishes cartons by sealing openings; affixing shipping label.
  • Prepares pallets by following prescribed stacking arrangement; tagging pallets.
  • Documents actions by completing logs.
  • Maintains safe work environment by following standards and procedures.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Accomplishes manufacturing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

    Completes shipments by processing and loading orders.

  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.

    Warehouse Receiving Clerk

    Job Purpose:
    Accepts shipments and ships product by unloading, loading, and verifying shipments.

    Duties:

  • Receives items by unloading vehicles; accepting deliveries; unpacking containers.
  • Verifies items received by inspecting condition of items; comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list; noting discrepancies.
  • Documents items received by recording identifying information.
  • Transfers orders received by routing or delivering items to requesting department.
  • Replaces damaged items and shortages or obtains credit by informing shipper and transporter of damage or shortage; returning damaged items; requesting new items or credit for shortages.
  • Receives credit-return materials from production by verifying identifying information and quantity of materials; placing materials in inventory.
  • Maintains shipping and receiving materials by checking stock to determine inventory level;
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

    Retail Sales Associate

    Job Purpose:
    Serves customers by helping them select products.

    Duties:

  • Talks with customers by phone or in person in a professional and courteous manner
  • Using the computer to look up records and enter customer information, and process sales orders for parts and accessories.
  • Answer customer questions and deliver customer service.
  • Determine and communicate prices for parts requested.
  • Stamps, attaches, or changes price tags on merchandise, referring to price list.
  • Stocks, organizes and cleans storage areas and displays with new or transferred merchandise.
  • Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales.
  • Prepares “Good Condition” returned merchandise for resale.
  • Cleans display cases, shelves, and aisles. Greets customers into the showroom, and personally assists in helping to find/identify products for purchases
  • Uses the Point of Sale (POS) system to accurately process and complete customer purchases, orders, and returns
  • Receives payment for parts, and processes/obtains credit authorization, wraps/bags merchandise for customers
  • Solicits sale of feature, cross-sell, and up-sell products to customers.
  • Completes any follow-up necessary to ensure complete and accurate service and customer satisfaction.
  • Displays development of product and technical knowledge, as well use of the Chaparral Motorsports catalog and web resources.
  • Addresses complaints and customer concerns, and bringing them to the attention of assigned Supervisor for further investigation and consideration.
  • Displays the ability to control customer interactions, and meet/exceed customer needs and expectations.
  • Displays good judgment by enlisting the assistance of supervisory or mentor help when required.
  • Attends to the showroom daily and weekend task lists.
  • Helps prepare displays and merchandise products.
  • Adheres to all safety notices and policies.
  • Displays flexibility in work schedule.
